A stick and a tree

I took a class from Friends of the Sierra Nevada Field Campus featuring Tree Portraiture with Laurie Wigham. I went to Donner Summit and picked one of my favorite trees to try this method out after the class.

For Summer Solstice this year I went back to Squaw Valley. In years past I painted snow on those peaks. This year only used 3 dots white paint .

Low Tide

Exploring the coast and tidepools near Fort Bragg California with a 1.7 minus tide. For the first time I saw many large abalone and lots of large sea stars. Seals with newborns and no people.
