Sierra Junipers

These old trees are magnificent. Junipers have thick trunks in proportion to their heights. Growing on  granite faced  passes most are twisted and contorted  by wind, snow, and lightning. Easelbaru

Turned Subaru into easel to begin painting of aspens on Independence Road. Sunlight moved overhead. At this point harder to see values in painting. I took painting back to work further into it in studio.
