Usually I stand and paint, this enables me to see more and make corrections easier, although today the subject matter was on ground. I sat on a rock. The violets surround the legs of easel. With a heavy winter in the Sierra, June brings camus lilies that are covering Sardine Valley along with clouds of mosquitos.Violets and buttercups rim the drier edges of meadow.
