Inside Out

Poppy Red VIEW SLIDE SHOW   Graeagle, California has a patch of poppies that bloomed every year. I liked the small differences in the colors of the center of the flowers.

Summer Highlights

Summer Highlights 36×36 inches This painting evolved from a small painting I did in the fall of 2011. I have painted numerous aspens out in the Perazzo Meadows of Sierra County. I usually start with a tonal color, before sketching in my composition. The 12x12in original on location

Spotted Fawn

Spots VIEW SLIDE SHOW   This fawn was out most mornings with its mother chowing down on any landscaping plants in the neighborhood that met their fancy last month. I decided to paint a 8in x10in with a background that didn’t look like suburbia. It sold today at HCH and now resides in Clio, Ca.

Perazzo Cow Herd

These cows out in Perazzo Meadows are a continuous source of paintings. My latest painting is of a cow who thought it was hiding in the trees. It is 36×36 inches and in High Camp Home. Hiding VIEW SLIDE SHOW

Truckee River Charmer

Summer on the Truckee River 36×36 inches. This fishing cabin sits right on the Truckee River. It has been lovingly restored on the inside. It is covered with bark. I went further and spruced up the outside adding green trim that has faded over the years.

Old Immigrant Trail

Blue Fandango 48x48in. The Applegate Lassen Immigrant Trail includes Fandango Pass between Surprise Valley and Goose Lake located in Modoc County,California. I saw this barn late in October 2012. I deepen the blue storm that was approaching from the west in my painting.
