A few years ago I visited the Antelope Island in Salt Lake City near the town of Layton. The bison herd in the park was established in 1893. The herd crossed in front of my car. It was late afternoon, and I thought the warm horizon highlighted the herd. I snapped photos from car and enjoying the movement of the herd thru dry grass and sunflowers.
They moved slowly thru the dried grasses and wild sunflowers. After looking at photos I chose this one to paint on a panel. American Bison 8×10 in panel
