Hours of Sunlight painted on location in a Truckee meadow during October last year. I like seeing in the photos below how close I can come in color of the sage, aspen leaves and mule ears by guessing first what it might be on my brush.
The start of a 40×30 inch canvas. I have limited light to get everything I am seeing on this big canvas. Also the shadows change during the day as the sun moves across the sky. I have my basics in and am ready to work on details.
