Afternoon Journey

Start to finish. I planned ahead to get my composition in before the late afternoon light moved into the aspen grove. Panel 8×10 inches.

I could then finish the painting with the highlights that still exited in the trees. Sometimes they are gone before a painter gets to the end of a painting.
