Yosemite Falls drops a total of 2,425 feet. It is made of up of three parts, Upper, Middle Cascade, and Lower. It is hard to grasp the size. You can just see the tip of the lower falls in this photo from the Yosemite Valley floor. Notice the size of the cars.
You can walk up to the lower falls, and from this angle see the both.The Lower Yosemite drops 320 ft. It is where most visitors get up close to view the falls.
There is a bridge crossing Yosemite Creek at the foot of the falls. The power and mist standing on the bridge here is outstanding.I knew when I took this photo from the bridge that I would paint the falls.
