Donner Lake Juniper 36x24in at HCH.
I am always looking for old trees on Donner Summit. This one is located in the pullout below Rainbow Bridge with a view of Donner Lake. I caught the last of the sunlight before it dropped over the ridge.
It is easy to find this tree. After pulling off of Hwy 40 below Rainbow Bridge walk out to the point facing Donner Lake. There are a number of nice old Junipers on this knoll.
