I received a request from High Camp Home to paint once again this group of aspen. The dimensions changed to a larger 48×60 inch canvas, and I warmed up the composition. I am excited that it will be hanging in a home for the holiday season!
Sierra Autumn Evening
I started and finished this painting in my kitchen, with the sound of rain pounding down on the skylight. California got great deal of rain this month preventing me from painting it outside.
I always paint with a sketch on a toned canvas.
Added the darks
