History of a Painting

In in the Autumn of 2007 I painted a number of paintings on location in Perazzo Meadows. It is located along the Little Truckee River on the left going towards Jackson Meadows Reservoir. I remember stopping and setting up my easel on the dirt road and enjoying the late afternoon, only to turn around and find out I had an audience.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA This area is one of my favorite painting spots. This group of aspen became the subject of numerous more paintings over the years. I go back every year to the same group of aspen, but somehow 2007 was the perfect day and color to capture this view.
This was the finished painting sold at High Camp Home many years ago.Perazzo Meadows 11x14 framed

I painted it again larger and added cows that I saw  nearby that day. High Camp Home sold this painting.
