I was astonished to look out my window in Truckee to see this cat coming around the corner. I quickly got my camera and positioned it looking at the birdbath, figuring the bobcat was coming for water. Because he didn’t notice me and I kept still, I felt so fortunate to capture these photos. It spend about 2 minutes drinking water. Then it casually walked up towards a rock pile and disappeared.
At first I thought I had missed getting any great straight on shots of it. Then I started looking at closer and found excellent details in his ears and next in his beautiful legs and tip of tail.
And not one chipmunk or squirrel anywhere around…..
