This is a wonderful trail that starts just above West End Donner Lake. It runs parallel to Donner Creek and you can hike all the way up to Rainbow Bridge and the Summit. This week there is still water running, although with the drought not much. I didn’t see any fish, guessing they have moved into the lake by now. I did see lots of Water Striders. I sat and studied them for awhile. They are very territorial, continuously checking each out, including a floating feather.
I don’t think I will attempt to paint them.
