California is in a drought, and here in the Sierra, the flowers are quickly showing a flash of color before the few streams will be running dry up. Hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail towards Summit Lake and wandering in the meadow of Lake Norden last week I found awesome spreads of color with a few Yellow Swallowtails migrating thru them.
On a big snow year this could be under water.
