This barn is along Hwy 89 near Graeagle California, in Plumas County. The White Sulpher Hot Springs Ranch where the barn is located is currently being restored .
I have admired this place for over 30 years. I have tried to imagine how to paint this barn with the white roof over the years as I passed it on the way to go camping. This time I stopped, the light was perfect and did a little painting on site and was happy with the results.
Above is the barn when I started and the next photo when I finished. One of the difficulties of painting on location is the movement of the sun and loss of shadows. I was immediately drawn to the shadow side of the barn when I stopped. 
It was slightly windy and the metal roof would make noise where the panels have come loose.
