Weather was warm for January in Monterey. I was fortunate to arrive at Point Lobos State Park and get in a small tree study in the last hour of daylight. A excellent poem about early Monterey is in the downtown park. Had fun painting a study of the Pacific Grove Lighthouse, a few cypress trees and my favorite adobe, General Shermans house.
