Autumn is an awesome time to paint around Truckee. Days are spent with my easel in aspen groves surrounded by brilliant color. Painting off a dusty back road in groves of aspen enjoying the silence and solitude just before a warm wind starts the leaves moving. Then months later I relive the moment in a larger painting.
This painting was done last October out near Perazzo Meadows in Sierra County
