Formed by glaciers and filled with remnants of the gold rush, the Lakes Basin area offers camping, quaint resorts, and great hiking, It is easy to hike around many lakes in just a few hours. Not hard to take the easel, and pick a spot to paint. Until this dog and hiker showed up I had the lake to myself.
